EN81-41:2021 received a positive formal vote BUT……..
The work on the revision of EN81-41after a long journey started in 2014 is not still finished….. The standard has been voted positively at the Formal Vote and this was a very good news.
But, due to the presence of two “technical errors” in the text, the final text has to be corrected.
Then the standard has to be assessed again by an HAS Consultant and due to problems with the renewal of the contract for the HAS consultants, the standard is again standing still and cannot be published in the Official Journal of the European Community. After the publication, the Standard will be then cited in the OJEU (Official Journal of the European Union) as an Harmonised standard. We hope that everything will go in the right way.
