EPSA members are dedicated to find the most appropriate solution to challenges related to accessibility in private, public and commercial buildings for people with impaired mobility. Restricted movement affects a great number of people – from those using wheelchairs, walking frames, sticks and canes, to people with pushchairs or prams.

The products shown here provide a solution for every access challenge. Members’ products are approved and certified for their intended use, thus giving the customer an assurance of complete safety.

Steplifts are designed for short travel to a maximum height of 500mm.

Typical installation of this type of step lift will be alongside an existing, short internal staircase or external steps, to allow access to the building with a wheelchair or by people who have difficulty with step.

Open platform lifts are designed to move between two levels only for short travel to a maximum height of 3000mm.

Typical installation of this lift type will be alongside an existing, short internal staircase or external steps, to allow access to the building with a wheelchair, or by people who have difficulty using steps.

Many existing buildings have been constructed in such a way that it is either impractical or not cost effective to install a conventional lift.

Suitable protection in the form of sides, doors or guard rails are present and space can be allowed for a carer to accompany the user.

An enclosed platform lift can often be accommodated more easily, using existing space (for example in an open area or in the centre of an existing staircase, or externally alongside the building’s wall). As this platform lift has its own enclosed liftway it requires little or no construction.

Enclosed platform lifts are often used in public buildings and private homes which are required to meet current accessibility legislation.

This type of platform lift, depending on model, can accommodate more than one passenger and/or wheelchair allowing movement between several floors.

Chair stairlifts are designed to move people simply, smoothly and easily between a maximum of two levels (i.e. one flight of stairs).

These generally take the form of a powered chair, which is attached to a rail system alongside the stairs. The chair is usually parked at the bottom of the stairs where the chair, armrest and footrest can be folded away.

Platform lifts are designed to move people in wheelchairs simply, smoothly and easily between two levels.

Normally these are designed to follow the line of an existing staircase. This type of lift is particularly useful where existing passenger lifts are situated up a short flight of stairs, or for entry to a building where the reception area is up a number of steps.

Safety devices around the platform ensure safe and secure travel. The platform generally folds away for convenience.

Goods lifts with travel speed <=0.15mps

Goods lifts are only developed for the transport of goods where it is not allowed to transport passengers. Mostly used within industrial areas, large warehouses and other solutions where heavy lifting is needed on a daily basis.

Platform Cabin lifts

Platform Cabin lifts are based on the same principle as an enclosed platform lift where the difference is that you are standing in an enclosed cabin. The difference is that with a fully enclosed cabin the lift will go up and down with one single touch of the button to activate the lift.

Vehicle lifts with travel speed <=0.15mps

Vehicle lifts are there for vertical transport of vehicles with or without their occupants. Ideally used for locations where space is limited.
