Chair stairlifts are designed to move people simply, smoothly and easily between a maximum of two levels (i.e. one flight of stairs).
These generally take the form of a powered chair, which is attached to a rail system alongside the stairs. The chair is usually parked at the bottom of the stairs where the chair, armrest and footrest can be folded away.
